One Piece RPG announced for PSP
Franchise makes first appearance on Sony portable.

Next week’s Jump has the first look at One Piece: Romance Dawn, a new One Piece game for PSP. Unlike PlayStation 3′s One Piece: Pirate Warriors, Romance Dawn is a traditional role-playing game with a command-based battle system, level system, attribute upgrades, and some level of customization. It will launch this winter in Japan.

            Being that the final nail on it’s coffin was the Vita release. Basically anything from japan released on the PSP ever since the Vita was released…is something we simply won’t get to play, ever.

            Like Final Fantasy type-0…..

              I’m not giving up on type-0 just yet. I’ll keep believing they are improving the game for a western release.

              The problem with the PSP in the west really ties in with piracy. Most of the publishers stopped supporting it, and let’s not pretend it was ever as popular in the west as it is in Japan.

              While I wish they would support the Vita more in Japan, just about everyone owns a PSP. The smart business decision is to release games for something everyone already has. I’d say that was the same reason Pokemon Black and White 2 was for the DS and not the 3DS.

              We can still hope for digital versions, at the very least.

        Never say never. It may come as a Vita playable digital download on psn fully translated to Engl……youre right. We’ll never see it.

    Romance Dawn. Does this refer to the pilot chapter of One Piece?

      I’m not sure.

      I believe the story of Romance Dawn takes place before One Piece.

      From the one piece wikia page -

      Romance Dawn refers to Oda, largely from his own childhood interests. While a first-year junior high school student, he began sketching out ideas for a pirate-themed manga in a notebook, in pencil. Years later, as an assistant to Rurouni Kenshin author Nobuhiro Watsuki, he began refining his ideas into what would become “Romance Dawn”, and later, One Piece.

      It does refer to it. But we see Morgan in one of the screenshots, so I assume it doesn’t have anything else to do with it.
