Is this Monster Hunter for PS Vita? [Update]
Mysterious images pop up on Chinese message board.

If there’s one thing that could boost PlayStation Vita sales in Japan, it’s Monster Hunter (and some Dragon Quest wouldn’t hurt, either). But Monster Hunter 4 is exclusive to 3DS.

Well, these images of what look like a new Monster Hunter popped up on Chinese message board A9VG today. We’re not sure what it says on the page, but Japanese blogs, at least, are suggesting it could be Monster Hunter for PS Vita, or a PS Vita version of China’s Monster Hunter clone Hunter Blade.

Of course, this could be nothing. Some elaborate joke by a Chinese forum poster, if you will. What do you think?

Update 10:35 a.m.: I failed to notice the “Fraps.com” watermark in these screenshots. Considering Fraps is computer software used for capturing video from PC applications and games, I think it’s safe to say this is probably a hoax. The PlayStation Vita part, at least.

    judging by the HUD size, the game itself is probably in higher resolution.

    if you try to downsize the gameplay image to the size of PS Vita’s Screen(see img.1), the text on the HUD would be a little too small for us to read.

    also the item rack at the bottom of the screen, either it’s intentional, or it looked like part of it has been cropped off for some reason.

      I noticed that, too. Though it does look like it could be one of those things where your active item kind of “slides up,” while the others remain “nested,” if you can understand what I’m trying to say.

      Or, it could be cropped. =P

    Actually FRAPS don’t really mean anything
    Pictures could’ve been just from the build running on the PC or video.

    There is really no method of allowing Vita to show footage on the PC (at least in the commonfolk).

    Still I mostly call bogus as such thing wouldn’t be leaked so easily, too big.

    since when did MH have the characters/avatars face next to lifebar?
    And since when did all the items you own appear at the bottom of your screen?

    I bet he just took a screenshot from the clone and open it via his vita.
