Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be supported post-launch with download content, Kojima Productions producer Yuji Korekado confirmed at E3 earlier this month.
“We don’t have any plans for competitive online play or anything like that,” said Korekado during a GameTrailers (via NeoSeeker) round table interview. “However we do have plans for some download content after the release from the game that will allow you to play maybe as a different character or some new missions.”
PlatinumGames producer Atsushi Inaba also confirmed the game would feature action points, which will allow players to upgrade Raiden’s abilities.
And don’t expect Kinect or Move support. Asked if the developers want it in the game, the entire table burst out in laughter.
