Due September 20. Mecha game included.

Famitsu this week has first details and a release date for the Eureka Seven AO hyrbrid disc announced back in April.

Eureka Seven AO: Flowers of Jungfrau includes a 30-minute OVA that bridges the gap between episodes 8 and 9 of the anime series, and a game called Eureka Seven AO: Attack the Legend, which puts players in the role of a Eureka Seven mecha. It will also include over 80 minutes of bonus footage.

The hybrid disc will launch in Japan on September 20 for 7,980 yen. A limited edition version will also be released. For 10,500 yen, you will get a script, “Eureka Seven Archive,” and special box.

Thanks, Sinobi.

The first two seasons – Eureka Seven: Psalms of Planets – still holds the #1 spot as the best animeseries I’ve seen over the years! Lets hope they can turn that into a GOOD game. :)

@mojava: Two seasons? Are you saying that they made more than two seasons? What is Eureka Seven about anyway?

@Miranda Lawson: Its about a boy whose house gets destroyed by a giant robot and he falls in love with the girl who was the pilot. Its 50 eps or somethin and focuses on the growth of renton(hero) and eureka(heroine) growing up and theri romance with lots of drama(good kind) and some of the best mech designs and battles to date. Id definately give it a shot if youre even remotely interested in anime.

@DjangoRaijin: So this has Mech battles and drama? I like Gundam so I think that I might like this too!

@Miranda Lawson: This and Code Geass actually got me started watching gundam so give it a watch in your free time.

@DjangoRaijin: Does Eureka Seven AO already have english episodes? Are they going to make any english episodes for AO, or do you think that they won’t localize it?

              • mojava

@Miranda Lawson: E7 AO is still ongoing in Japan, so even if there might be fansubbed episodes somewhere the entire season isn’t available yet. I’m saving it for a little while later still.

@DjangoRaijin: Really good description there, Django. One might add that the first 26 episodes focuses on characterdevelopment and the latter 26 on storyprogression. Needless to say the 2nd season is by far the best one, but that certainly wouldn’t be the case without building the atmosphere in the first one.

I think Eureka Seven might be considered a little slow to pick up steam. But boy does that pay off in the end.. >:)
