Dishonored, Arkane Studios’ upcoming stealth assassin FPS, will be at least 12 to 14 hours long, according to publisher Bethesda Softworks.

“Play-stayle matters a lot,” it said in a blog Q&A. “Very direct players will probably get through the game in 12 or 14 hours. Explorers who eavesdrop a lot will take twice as long.”

The game will have six major active powers and four enhancements, in addition to weapons, gadgets, and perk-granting bone charms. To use powers, players are required the use of manaa, which can be regenerated using mana potions.

Dishonored is due for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on October 9.

    I’m in the “Explorer” category.

However, I’ll have to explore when it’s on sale on Steam during the Holiday Sale. $60 is too much for a PC game and it comes out on the same day as XCOM which is $50 which is what PC games should sell for (assuming it’s console counterpart is $60) and these publishers need to stop making PC customers pay the console license fees the publishers have to pay to put their games on console. Is this something I can complain about to the FTC or BBB maybe? I’m really thinking about it. It’s completely anti-consumer. >_<

@FearMonkey: $60 is too much for any game. Darn publisher’s these days. I’d buy so many more games if they weren’t so ridiculously priced.

Thank the jeebuses for Humble Bundles!

I wasn’t very excited about this until e3. It had a great showing and revealed some really cool concepts.

Since it is more or less coming out in the holiday season, I hope I get an opportunity to play it. Its always hard to get all the games you want during the holidays, since so many of them come out…

That’s quite a bit shorter than I expected.

    /that’s what she said.
