Sega has confirmed on Twitter that Anarchy Reigns, PlatinumGames‘ multiplayer online brawler, will now launch for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in North America and Europe in the first quarter of 2013.
The game was previously dated for July 3 in North America and July 5 in Europe. An unspecified delay was confirmed late last month. Japan, however, will still get the game on July 5.
PlatinumGames has previously said that localization for the title was complete, and that those who opt to import the Japanese version would be able to play the game in English. So one can only wonder why Sega’s created such a significant delay.
