Sony registers Forsaken Souls domain
A Soul Sacrifice localization?

Sony Computer Entertainment America last week registered a domain name for something called Forsaken Souls. Visiting the site currently turns up a temporary search page.

It’s possible that Forsaken Souls will turn out to be the localized title for Soul Sacrifice. Though, it would be odd considering Soul Sacrifice is already an English title. We may just have to stay tuned.

    Not only is it odd because Soul Sacrifice is in English, but the entire point of the game has to do with sacrifice. So removing it from the localized title is pointlessly stupid and confusing.

    Hope it’s a new demon’s souls game since Sony owns the IP. I don’t see why they wouldn’t just keep ‘soul survivor’ for the localization of that game in the states, so I’m hoping ‘forsaken souls’ is a completely new game.

    If this is indeed just Soul Sacrifice I will be very mad at Sony for getting my hopes up again only to crush them…

        @Sal Romano: My madness would be inward and self inflicted tricking myself into believing I hate Sony. (but it will not change my buying habits at all) LET ME RELISH IN MY SELF ANGUISH! … oh wait forgive me… I believe I was about to go hollow there…you know… lose my mind in my thirst for souls.

    For some reason, the first thing that came to mind is Folklore, which was known as Folksoul in Japan. Not sure why, it just did :P

    I hope it’s a Demon’s Soul successor because that way we get 2 games and I’ve no doubt that Soul Sacrifice will get localized. But if its not, fine too :D

    It probably is the localized title. Sometimes they don’t care if it’s already in English, like with Bleach: Soul Ignition, which was localized to Soul Resurreccion.
