Similar to Steam, Sony will introduce pre-loading to the PlayStation Store, allowing users to purchase and download certain games, which will not be activated until release day.
The first game to make use of the system is The Workshop’s PlayStation Move-enabled Sorcery, due for PlayStation 3 at retail and through PlayStation Network next Tuesday. Consumers will be able to purchase and pre-download the game prior to its release, and have it ready for play as soon as it launches.
Thanks, Gamasutra.
