"The foundation for the next decade of gaming."

Wired has run a huge feature on Epic Games’ new Unreal Engine 4, debuting the first screenshots of the next-generation engine in action, which is running on PC using a single Nvidia Kepler GTX 680.

“UE4 represents nothing less than the foundation for the next decade of gaming,” said Wired. “It may make Microsoft and Sony rethink how much horsepower they’ll need for their new hardware. It will streamline game development, allowing studios to do in 12 months what can take two years or more today. And most important, it will make the videogames that have defined the past decade look like puppet shows.”

Hm. Needs a video to really show it off honestly. Screenshots dont do engines justice. I hate Unreal Engine 3 so I’m glad this exists

Images 3 and 6 shine brightest, I think.

    So that’s in-game look?

It looks great but yeah I don’t like their high horse lol.
Puppet shows? There’s no game this generation that can compete with my favorite game of all time Suikoden 2 but, that’s just me :D

I hope developer utilize this engine with creativity like Catherine that’s great not just TPS FPS Action.

Might be a hint at their next game, I remember the locust characters (the minions you see most of the time) were in the tech demo when UE3 was unveiled so long ago.
