Dishonored, Arkane Studios‘ first-person assassin action game, will launch for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 9 in North America and throughout Europe on October 12, publisher Bethesda has announced.
“We are pleased that Dishonored has captured people’s attention,” said Vlatko Andonov, president of Bethesda Softworks. “We are looking forward to sharing lots more information about the game leading up to its launch in October, and having a hands-on build of Dishonored in our booth at E3!”
Set in teh steampunk, industrial city of Dunwall, players take on the role or Corvo, the once-trusted bodyguard of a now murdered Empress. Framed for the crime, you become an infamous assassin, leaving a disturbing mask as your calling card. As the city is besieged by plague and under the rule of a corrupt government armed with frightening technology, you’re granted supernatural abilities to assist in discovering the truth behind your betrayal.
