PlayStation Vita update 1.65 incoming

Includes four "minor enhancements."

April 2, 2012 / 08:13 PM EDT / (@salromano)

PlayStation Vita software update version 1.65 will be released “soon.” These updates are usually released the night consumers are notified.

The update includes the following “minor enhancements”:

  • A “Notification Alert” option will be added to Settings, so you can toggle alerts on or off.
  • “After 10 minutes” will be added to the time options under Power Save Settings.
  • An arrow icon will now appear when PS Vita finds new activities in the LiveArea.
  • Caps Lock will be supported in the On Screen Keyboard.

Look out for it soon.

Thanks, PlayStation Blog.

I appreciate the minor tweaks like the next guy but where in the hell is my PSone classics support. Tired of keeping a fully charge PsPGo at the ready along with my Vita.

    Skype would be nice too.

Come on Sony. You’ve had over a month and this is what you came up with? There are plenty of other things that us, the consumers, want fixed and/or added. Of course they won’t do anything major like PS One classics support, Remote play support, Skype app, or YouTube app. They want to keep the Vita relevant for a while so they’ll drag out it as long as possible until they release major updates.

Am I the only one eagerly awaiting the Alarmclock-app? ^^b
