Nintendo to showcase Super Mario Wii U at E3

Words from the mouth of Shigeru Miyamoto.

Nintendo will showcase a new Super Mario game for Wii U at E3 this year, Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto has said.

The game will combine both the TV and tablet controller. No word on if it’s based off the New Super Mario Bros. Mii tech demo shown at E3 last year.

Miyamoto confirmed this during his trip to Paris, where he has been speaking to many European reporters.

The Mario creator also thinks Wii U will have a great future. He is working on several small but important projects, at the moment, but his main focuses are Pikmin 3 (Wii U) and Luigi’s Mansion 2 (3DS). He said he would also like to do something with the Wii Music property, and was sad to see it not sell as well as expected.

Not really a surprise. Though, Wii Music should stay dead, that was a horrible attempt at jumping in on the music game train.

I look forward to seeing Wii U.

I hope they have lots of surprises for E3. I think they need to really impress with the wii u this year.

They can’t just show like 3 games, they need to show that the wii u will have a strong software line up right away.

The 3ds teased some good games, and then it took way to long for them to be released, and this resulted in the price drop.

In other words, I think Nintendo really needs to dominate this year, they need to get people excited.

Well, I was already going to get a Wii U on launch – this is just the icing on the cake.

Hopefully it’s a 3D (graphics, not stereoscopics) title along the same line as the Galaxy series.
