Is Project X Zone Namco Bandai, Sega, and Capcom’s new 3DS project?

Namco Bandai, others file trademarks.

We may have a name for that 3DS crossover project from Namco Bandai, Sega, and Capcom (which now has a countdown), if recent trademarks are anything to go by.

Namco Bandai trademarked the names All Star Battle, Project X Zone, and Let’s Go! Fairy-Tale World in Japan. Project X Zone, specifically, lines up with the URL for the crossover project’s teaser site (http://pxz.channel.or.jp).

A few other companies also filed trademarks.

Sega trademarked the names Flick of the Dead, Ryu ga Gotoku Shinsho, and Answer X Answer Pocket. The first sounds like it could be an smartphone version of House of the Dead. The second trademark is the subtitle to Sega’s Yakuza portable series Kurohyo, or Black Panther, which just recently saw its second release in Japan.

Capcom trademarked Onimusha Soul, which is an already announced browser game.

Square Enix trademarked Anata Library.

Thanks, Hachima Kikou.
