Demon’s Souls servers going offline
Servers to shutdown on May 31.

After two years and five months, Atlus will shut down Demon’s Souls‘ online severs on May 31.

“Together we have fought and died again and again, learning from our mistakes and passing that knowledge across worlds to help others,” Atlus said. “We have shared in the thrill of discovered and the dread of the unknown.”

On May 1 and 16, Atlus will let fans vote to determine the game’s World Tendency shift during the game’s last month of online compatibility.

            Imo Dark Souls’ PVE is far superior than Demon’s but PVP is better in Demon’s Souls than it is in Dark souls. And as I am not into PVP I like Dark Souls’ quite a bit more.

    Wow. First MGS4 now Demon’s Souls. I hope they don’t get rid of world tendency events, I still need a few more trophies.

    It’s just the US server right? The asian, japan and europe servers are still fine, or so i heard.

    Ugh. In 20 years none of our games are going to be worth anything as there won’t be any servers up for them.

    Man, so it’s finally shutting down, I’ll miss the pvp in the game, it’s not full of hackers and glitchers like dark souls T^T

      @vertical09: Haven’t run into anyone that seems to be hacking on Dark Souls (PS3) but I have run into glitchers. The glitchers in Dark Souls aren’t nearly as annoying as they were on Demon’s Souls IMO. Remember the running firestorm glitch? That was ridiculous. Not saying that there aren’t any on Dark Souls. I just haven’t really run into any and PvP is about all I do now.

        @sicksniper256: Dark souls on the xbox has Alot of cheaters,and the game as a whole has ALot of people using the BB glitch,Ive seen it all(500 hours ..)
