Celebrating the James Bond franchise’s 50th anniversary, Activision today announced 007 Legends, which promises to “launch gamers back through time” to relive some of Bond’s most iconic undercover missions, for launch this fall on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
007 Legends ties together six classic Bond films in an “original, overarching storyline,” conlcuding with this year’s Skyfall.
The fan-favorite Mi6 Ops Missions, which debuted in GoldenEye 007: Reloaded, will make a return, challenging players to complete extra missions and compete for the highest score on the online leader boards.
Players will also be able to relive the game’s missions through the eyes of one of Bond’s “cohorts or villanous foes.”
The game will include local four-player split-screen multiplayer game modes, as well as online play with new maps, weapons, and characters.
