Namco Bandai today released Tales of Graces F for PlayStation 3 in North America. The game brings the acclaimed RPG series to the Sony console for the first time outside Asia. It follows Asbel Lhant and his friends as their bonds of friendship are tested in a quest that ventures ‘beyond their comprehension.’
“The Tales of series’ strong characters, captivating stories and signature real-time battle system have earned it some of Namco Bandai Games’ most diehard fans,” said Carlson Choi, vice president of marketing for Namco Bandai Games America Inc. “Tales of Graces F continues with that tradition and we are excited for those fans to help us foster and grow the community for the Western market.”
The game offers a real-time combat system that lets players freely change attack style according to the situation. Characters can fight with two different attack styles.
Namco Bandai is planning post-launch download content for Tales of Graces F including “special character costumes and accessories.” Confirmed so far are costumes based on past games in the Tales series, as well as others based on “various themes.” Certain costumes will give characters stat boosts and access to classic Tales series battle music.
Tales of Graces F will launch in Europe this summer. Namco Bandai is planning “an exclusive day one edition of the game set to include bonuses for European fans only.” More details on the release will be revealed in the “coming weeks.”
