ZeniMax Online Studios and Bethesda Softworks will announce The Elder Scrolls Online in May this year, Tom’s Guide is reporting.
Citing an “industry source that wishes to remain anonymous,” the site said the game will be set a millenium before The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. It guesses that means it’ll be set during the “Second Era,” hundreds of years before every other game in the series.
The game is said to have three factions based on distinct animals: a lion, a dragon, and a bird of prey.
The site speculates a May announcement could signal a big E3 showcase, as well as a large presence at QuakeCon alongside id Software‘s Doom 4.
