Assassin’s Creed III is Game Informer’s next cover story. The publication provided first details today.
Assassin’s Creed III has been in development for three years – since production wrapped up on Assassin’s Creed II. A “secret team of Ubisoft developers” have been examining and rethinking “every element of the franchise from the ground up” to build something completely new.
Set in “the latter half” of the 18th century, Assassin’s Creed III takes the war between the Templars and the Assassins of the New World of America, where players will “witness firsthand” the events of the American Revolution. A new assassin hero will pioneer the release. Game Informer’s cover story has 13-pages worth of information, screenshots, and artwork. It will have two covers, the latter of which is a limited edition run:
