Plus, a teaser image.

Kojima Productions boss Hideo Kojima has provided a small update on the PlayStation Vita version of the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection.

Voice-over recording for the Vita version is currently underway with Keiji Fujiwara, who plays Sigint in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, according to a Kojima tweet. An image, showing what looks to be a title selection screen, was posted with the text.

A release date for the Vita version of the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection has yet to be announced.

    Can someone remind me why they are voice recording again? Does being on PSVita have to do with it? Not understanding lol.

      @rockman29: Yeah. Clueless, myself.

      He posted some more updates, though: https://twitter.com/#!/HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN/status/166440351429693440

      “Mr. Akio Otsuka arrived. Start off with Plissken in MGS2. Thrilling! Snaaaaaaake!!!”

      “Needless to say, @AkioOtsuka is cool, as he is the man for real. 70% of Snake is made out of Mr. Akio Otsuka.”

        @Sal Romano: Thanks, Sal!

        By the way, I don’t know if you know this already, but the e-mails notifying us of replies to a user’s comments don’t seem to be sending anymore. Will you be adding that again? I thought it was an excellent feature.

        Cheers, just saw the new MGS HD Vita news as well.

          @rockman29: That’s odd. Shouldn’t be happening. Thanks for letting me know! I’ll look into it.

          @rockman29: Okay, was just about to get on this now, but realized I had disabled the plugin that auto-sent e-mails a while back because now we have an option that doesn’t necessarily auto-force it.
