Ni no Kuni comes to North America this winter
Level-5 RPG comes to U.S. before Europe.
by [@salromano] at 02:04 PM EDT, February 15, 2012 .

While Europe will have to wait until the first quarter of 2013, U.S. consumers will be able to get their hands on Level-5′s latest RPG, Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, in winter 2012, Namco Bandai has announced. The U.S. release will include both English and Japanese voice-overs.

“The development team at Level-5 has worked very hard to ensure that Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is a RPG that fans of video games and traditional animation will remember for years to come. It has been a great honor to collaborate with Studio Ghibli and Joe Hisaishi, and to incorporate all of their experience into a fantastic game,” said Akihiro Hino, President and CEO of Level-5. “Our top priority for the Western release of Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is to localize the game with the same level of quality and attention to detail that fans of Level-5 and Studio Ghibli have come to expect.”

Ni no Kuni launched in Japan on November 17 last year. A new set of screenshots can be seen at the gallery. Four new videos can be seen below.

    I can’t wait for this game, so glad that we here in America get the game far sooner than Europe.

    Anyone knows if it will be (technically) possible to run the US-release on an European PS3? Importing to here (Sweden) should be simple enough if there’s no region or NTSC/PAL-issues.

      @mojava: PS3 is region-free. You’ll be fine.

        @Sal Romano: Thanks! Saves the wait for another bunch of months for additional languages your’re not interested in anyway. ^^b

    BTW guys – apologies for not having the screens + video. Where I’m at right now (and unfortunately have to remain for a few more hours) has some pretty crappy internet. The images, for example, are 3mb BMPs and it takes literally an hour for one to download. I’ll have them all up when I get back home later today.

    Nice! Seems like Namco Bandai might actually get this one right.

    I just hope the release date is not November, when a crap ton of stuff will be coming out.

    Added the screens and one of four vids so far. The other three are currently being uploaded. Once again, sorry for the delay.

    I’m trying to get a grasp on how the battle system works, after watching the vids, it looks like it functions somewhat similar to the first Parasite Eve.

    Game looks great, I’m going to keep an eye out for more gameplay vids that take a more in depth look of the battle system through out the year, at the moment, I’m not sure if the system in place is going to keep me entertained for 20-40 hrs.
