Namco Bandai Holdings will form a new development studio on April 2, it announced today. Responsible for the publisher’s key franchises – including Tales, Tekken, Gundam, Soulcalibur, and others – Namco Bandai Studio, as it’s called, will consist of over 1,000 staff, including the 80 Namco Tales Studio developers absorbed into the company on January 1

Hajime Nakatani, producer on the Tekken series, will head up the Shiagawa-based studio, the formation of which Namco Bandai hopes leads to faster and more optimized development.
