Namco Bandai Holdings will form a new development studio on April 2, it announced today. Responsible for the publisher’s key franchises – including Tales, Tekken, Gundam, Soulcalibur, and others – Namco Bandai Studio, as it’s called, will consist of over 1,000 staff, including the 80 Namco Tales Studio developers absorbed into the company on January 1.
Hajime Nakatani, producer on the Tekken series, will head up the Shiagawa-based studio, the formation of which Namco Bandai hopes leads to faster and more optimized development.
