Armored Core V takes the cake.

This week’s Media Create Sales are in, bringing fresh changes to what appeared to be the new ‘standard’ over the past few weeks. Knocking Mario Kart 7 off its throne is the PlayStation 3 version of Armored Core V, which sold 164,000 units. New releases Resident Evil: Revelations (3DS) and Tales of Innocence R (what? a PSV title?!) came in at second and third, respectively. And what in appears to be a miracle of some sort, an Xbox 360 title has made the top 20 for the second week in a row, with the Xbox 360 version of Armored Core V coming in at sixth with 25,000 sales.

The full list can be seen below. The number following this week’s sales in parenthesis are the game’s overall numbers, if not a new release.

    Made a little boo-boo in the initial posting of this. If you were here to notice it, sorry I suck sometimes. :-)

    Wow so XIII-2 probably won’t make it past 800,000, which means that’s a 60% sales drop from XIII. I sure hope they don’t do XIII-3 then.

      @Kurai Warrior: Why ?..i wish they do XIII-3 with new character & new story

      • Kurai Warrior

        @mdemolish:
        Because it didn’t deserve a sequel to begin with? They already milk ff enough as it is we don’t need mainline final fantasy games turning into trilogies for each entry.

      @Kurai Warrior: Why not, I will admit XIII wasn’t that great for a Final Fantasy (although it was a great game, FF’s are normally greater), XIII-2 which I’m currently playing through is WAY better. It feels more like a core Final Fantasy than XIII ever did. If they continue down the path with XIII-3 one can only assume it will be even better.

    Ah, I knew Innocence R would do it for the Vita. Now I hope it sells gazillions so Namco Bandai considers releasing it on the west.

    • milramyah

      @FaithlessMr: it probably sold more than what’s listed because sony sells digital versions of the games for less and I believe they aren’t included in these numbers.

    Actually, it didn’t cost them that much to make 13-2.

    They already have the domain for a 13-3, and I think they would like to get a little more out of crystal tools.

    Crystal tools has really been a learning experiment for SE. And its the obvious reason Versus has been delayed for so long, they figured out the game just couldn’t run on crystal tools.

    I would not be surprised to see 13-3 announced at e3 this year.

    Either way, 700,000 + copies along with how it does in the west, not bad at all.

    What I think is interesting about these numbers is the PS Vita, those numbers are not bad at all for the portable. Just wait for the Monster Hunter game, I bet it will take off.

    I would want a FFXIII-3, but not too soon, at least after Versus XIII please :(
