The March 2012 issue of Game Informer doesn’t feature a new game announcement like it usually does, but it does contain a full reveal story on Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us for PlayStation 3.

Game Informer visited Naughty Dog’s studio; saw a live, full gameplay segment; spoke to team members; and “landed on a ton of details you won’t find anywhere else.”

The issue will hit newsstands next week.

Additionally, Game Informer’s website will go live with three in-game screenshots of the title at 4pm central / 5pm eastern today.

The Last of Us is due for PlayStation 3 in “late 2012 / early 2013,” according to the outlet.
