Famitsu’s Most Wanted: Issue 1209

No. 1: Dragon Quest X.

Dragon Quest X is the number one most wanted title in issue 1209 of Weekly Famitsu (unsurprisingly). Monster Hunter 4 moved up two spots at number three – switching places with One Piece: Kaizoku Musou at number five – inching its way ever closer to Dragon Quest. Kingdom Hearts 3D moved up four spots, now at position ten. Final Fantasy Versus XIII and The Last Remnant (PS3) both remained stagnant in last week’s positions (why is The Last Remnant still on this list?!). And Level-5′s Fantasy Life moved up six spots, going from twenty-second to sixteenth most wanted.

Get the entire list list below. The numbers follow this key: this week’s position/last week’s position.

Magazine also did some ‘user reviews’ of recently released titles. Thought I’d toss ‘em in here for the hell of it:

    - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (PS3, 360) – 10/10/10/9
    - Saints Row: The Third (PS3, 360) – 9/10/10/10
    - Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch (PS3) – 10/10/10/8

Edit: And some additional goodies. Not really much worth scanning in this issue.

Those scores are pretty good for all 3 games. Surprising for MW3/SR3.

Perhaps The Last Remnant staying on this list is a great example of how PC gaming is pretty non existent in Japan?

You know what, I’m not going to let this just slide by lol…

Seriously, how long has The Last Remnant been out on pc now? Quite a while, I know that much.

And you don’t need some absurd PC to play it.

You can get a simple adapter or long cable, have your tv be your pc display, and set up your ps3 controller to work on pc.

It might take like 5 minutes of work, but…problem solved!

You can find the game often times on sale for very low prices, and you could even take it on the go if you have a decent laptop that isn’t from the year 1999.

I think I just covered all the bases pretty much. Hell, this is probably the reason they have not bothered to release it on PS3.

I’m not even sure half of the team that worked on the game is still part of Square-Enix.

The only thing would be trophy support, and I don’t see how spending money to release an old game with the only new thing about it being trophy support makes any sense.

Maybe, and I do mean maybe, if it was on PSN where they could bypass most of the cost to put it on a disc, etc.

Moving on, holy crap! Dragon’s Dogma #2! That is a big surprise in my opinion. How did I miss that on the last top list?

Great to see Genko Suikoden made it to this list, given it’s being released shortly in Japan and I desperately want it to succed.

I want Konami rpg franchises to succed, it has been a while since their last true rpg…Frontier Gate and Beyond the Labyrinth were pretty underwhelming sales wise unfortunately so…it all depends on the almighty Suikoden now.

Anyway, about the Last Remnant being on the list….I’m with you Japan, I still wish for that game to be released on the trey as well coz my PC can’t play it :D
