Assassin’s Creed III will launch on October 30, Ubisoft confirmed today during an investors call.

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said the game will be “the biggest launch in Ubisoft history,” adding that it has been in development for three years.

We still do not have details on the game’s contents, or its protagonist for that matter. But if there’s one thing for certain, it won’t be Ezio Auditore.

Thanks, Kotaku.

I guess it will be on a new engine?

They initially said AC3 would be delayed so it could be on an improved engine.

I’m excited, I just finished Revelations not to long ago, and I’m excited to see where we go next.

Ubisoft, do us a favour and create a game that have an ultimate satisfying ending and great storyline that will concludes Desmond’s journey. The last two Assassin’s Creed games have very little development to Desmond’s storyline, as well as having inconclusive and unsatisfying endings leading to the next game. Desmond should be the main playable character in this game, seriously.
