Square Enix has announced it’s bringing Scarygirl, TikGames’ new action–platformer based on the Nathan Jurevicius graphic novel of the same name, to PlayStation Network, Xbox LIVE Arcade, and PC.
The game will release on Xbox LIVE on January 18, on PlayStation Network on January 24, and on PC in early 2012.
The game centers in on an abandoned child with a tentacle arm who dresses like a pirate, haunted by a strange man in her dreams. To discover the meaning behind these bad dreams, she sets out into the world, her tentacle-powered arsenal at her side.
The game boasts a unique art style, a new storyline separate from the graphic novel and planned feature film, nwe moves, weapons, and upgrades, and local two-player co-op, where players can perform special moves together to overcome obstacles.
