Rumor: Dark Souls first DLC coming Q1 2012

Namco Bandai and From Software will release the first downloadable content for Dark Souls in the first quarter of the year, according to an EGM source “close to the project.”
The outlet references a trademark filed by From Software in Japan last year, “Yami no Mori,” or “Forest of Darkness,” which could be the name of the content.
In August last year, Dark Souls publishing produer Kei Horono confirmed the team was planning post-release downloadable content. [Update: As a commenter has pointed out, Namco Bandai refuted Horono's claims a few days later, saying there wouldn't be any downloadable content.]

Funny. A few days AFTER your post “confirming” DLC, Namco said there WOULDNT be any. Was actually a response to their own guy claiming there WAS going to be some. Glad you listed this as a rumor because the last 100% official word from Namco that I can find is that there isn’t going to be any. Of course I’d have no problems with them releasing any. They made a 100% complete game that got me more hours of fun than Skyrim did, and doesn’t NEED DLC to finish it..but I’ll accept it if it adds another 20+ hours of replayability (not sure how they could tho)

After I trade in my copy……they would be better off releasing a patch to polish up that summon stone situation for co-op..I never got mine to work.
@Skelter: That has been fixed; it sometimes will take a few minutes to appear but it works for the most part. I have been able to summon my friends easily.
DLC? Like I said, it’s not only Final Fantasy! Don’t blame Square Enix folks.
I expected there will end up being DLC but not paid DLC. I hope I am also right on that.
