Remedy developing “groundbreaking AAA console project”

Using the next iteration of their in-house engine.

Alan Wake’s American Nightmare isn’t the only game in Remedy Entertainment’s pipeline. It’s working on a “groundbreaking AAA console project,” according to a new job listing.

It’s being developed on the “next iteration of Remedy’s in-house engine,” the previous of which is used to power Alan Wake and the upcoming American Nightmare.

They’re looking for an A.I. programmer to “help in taking our artificial intelligence, character & enemy behavior (sic) to the next level.” If you’re keypoints involve C++, A.I. alogrithms, teamwork skills, passion for games, and are fluent in written and spoken English, apply here.

Thanks, GamerZines.

I wouldn’t be surprised if its on the next Xbox console. I believe its coming out next year but if they are just looking for listings, it would be late for something as near launch title. It will be interesting to see if it goes multi-platform considering the strong relationship Remedy now has with Microsoft.

I just hope Microsoft doesn’t drag the new game into oblivion like it did with Alan Wake.
