The latest issue of Famitsu has a new interview with Kingdom Hearts 3D director Tetusya Nomura. But that didn’t stop the inevitable bit of Final Fantasy Versus XIII questions from slipping through.
According to Nomura, the game has improved considerably since it was last shown in January, and the graphics have been given a boost. The ratio of real-time to pre-rendered cutscene events is 7 to 3. The scene where Noctus and Stella first meet has been changed from a real-time to pre-rendered scene.
Regarding when it’ll be shown, Nomura said that while he’s not yet scheduled anything, he’d like to make an announcement this year, and the next time we see it, it’ll be running on PlayStation 3 hardware.
He also spoke briefly on Final Fantasy X for PlayStation 3 and Vita. He said that Square Enix‘s 1st Production Department – the same studio behind the Final Fantasy series – is starting to create the high-definition update. So anyone worried that it’d be a quick-job port, rest easy.
