Uncharted developer Naughty Dog is working on a next-generation title with models made out of a million polygons, if a job listing on the studio’s website is to be believed.
The listing seeks a character artist who “will be responsible for making million poly models game ready, and support highest-res characters for renderings,” as well as have “prior professional experience with normal map extraction of human models for next-gen games.”
To compare, Uncharted 2 character models were made up of over 30,000 polygons each, while Kratos in SCE Santa Monica Studios’ God of War III was made up of over 20,000.
Thanks, PSLS.
