Another day, another Famitsu list. That seems to be the pattern, lately. The latest issue of the Japanese magazine incldues a bonus Nintendo catalogue, which contains a list, voted by Famitsu readers, of the top fifty Nintendo titles of all time.

Anger… riiiissssiinnggggggg……
Japan has good tastes it seems, in my opinion
Looking at this list, I can think of a couple of things:
1) Nintendo has some amazing 1st party games, overall. They’re the kings of first party, imo.
2) The Snes had one of the greatest gaming libraries, ever, matched only by the original Playstation, which also had fantastic games.
3) I can only hope most of these games will make their way to the Virtual Console so I can play ‘em on my 3DS!
Also, *nitpick alert*….wasn’t “23. [NES] Mother” a SNES game? I may be wrong but I think the whole of the “Mother” series was available for the SNES. EDIT: Nope, a wikipedia quick check let me know that the game was released originally for the NES. Weird, I always assumed the entirety of the franchise was released on the SNES.
Another thing…Mario 64 is listed twice up there, both the original N64 version and the Nintendo DS port lol. That’s how you can tell the game is amazing and how Japan loves their Mario games!
Well at least they got Mother 2 there.
