ESRB rates Killzone 1 for PlayStation 3 [Update]
First Killzone coming to PS3.

The original Killzone is coming to PlayStation 3 in some shape or form, if the Entertainment Software Rating Board is anything to go by.

The ESRB recently rated the 2004-released PS2 game for PlayStation 3.

The possibilities? It could be either a: high-def update, be it on PlayStation Network or at retail; or a simple PS2 classics entry.

Update 9:22 PM: Sony has confirmed to Game Informer that it will release a direct port of PS2′s Killzone on PlayStation Network on January 24 for $9.99.

    I would prefer an HD refresh over than of a PS2 classic… It doesnt even need to be a bull blown HD remake… just up the resolution, tweak some things and give me the online intact :)

    I can’t decide whether or not I like Killzone 1 or 2 more. Killzone 1 has so much personality and such an awesome story. If they HD-ify I think I’d go bananas… I wish…

    I think it would be definitely a HD re-master, since Killzone is a huge and multimillion franchise for Sony and PlayStation.
