Update: Here are some of Famitsu’s thoughts on Ni no Kuni, courtesy of the same source:
- Can be cleared in 40-50 hours. It mentions something about 100 hours and “yarikomi,” but I’m not quite sure as to what exactly.
- Animation is nice to watch. Attractive scenario.
- Highly strategic puzzles.
- Smooth transitions from animation to gameplay.
- Excellent atmosphere—easy to figure out what you’re supposed to do next.
- Though it feels highly complete, it feels like it’s lacking in terms of new ideas.
- The fact that any person of any age can get into Ni no Kuni is a plus.
