Final Fantasy XIII-2 Collector’s Edition announced
Amano packaging, soundtrack, and artbook included.
by [@salromano] at 09:10 AM EDT, November 10, 2011 .

Europe won’t be the only territory receiving a special edition of Final Fantasy XIII-2. Square Enix today announced a North American collector’s edition.

Available in limited quantities at GameStop, Amazon and Best Buy, the collector’s edition includes:

  • Premium packaging featuring artwork by Yoshitaka Amano.
  • A 4-disc official soundtrack.
  • A full-color collection of concept artwork containing “a variety of never-before-seen illustrations, environments and more.”

It will cost $79.99.

Of course, depending on where you pre-order it, you’ll still get each retailer’s previously-announced pre-order incentives.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 is due for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on January 31, 2012.

I’m really surprised with this announcement. Thanks SE NA!

Now, I don’t have to try and find a way to pay like over 200 usd for the EU collectors edition.

The Crystal Edition is a bit better, but this one is very nice.

Getting a fantastic soundtrack by Masashi Hamuzu as well as lovely art by Tetsuya Nomura makes it worth buying. I hope that the Collector’s Edition will have an Asian region…

Great news. Thanks Square Enix! I’m glad you’re not going to neglect North America this time around. I’m definitely pre-ordering the collector’s edition tonight when I pick up Skyrim at GameStop.

This edition includes an actual game case right…? I mean… the photo seems to show the game disc within the artbook
