NIS America have announced the localization of the third Atelier title in the Arland sub-series. Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland is scheduled to release for PlayStation 3 across the U.S. and Europe in Spring 2012.

It follows the story of a spunky princess named Meruru, who becomes Tortori Helmod’s apprentice after becoming “entranced” by alchemy. Under her guidance, Meruru aims to develop her kingdom using the power of alchemy.

The game features a development system, where players can add new areas and facilities to Arls over time, changing the appearance of the world overall; turn-based battlesl; item synthesis; and the return of characters from previous Arland sub-series titles.
