Atlus outlines big plans for Persona 4.

The Persona series has sold over 1.65 million copies in Japan.

Index, parent company of Persona developer Atlus, reported the sales in a new investor’s presentation, where it also outlines big plans for Persona 4. Persona 4: The Animation has already begun, and in 2012 they plan to release Persona 4: The Golden for PlayStation Vita and Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Arcade.

Why is Persona 4: The Golden not released on PS3? (sighs…) Great news, by the way.

long overdue a shin megami tenshei game for the ps3.

P5 was being worked on before catherine. They took a small break to confirm they could do a game in the current gen before the big plunge into a full RPG. That was with a outsourced engine. Now they claim they will have an internal engine that will wipe the floor with that ones graphics. Im just waiting till it finishes. Hopeful for an announcement of early 2013. I hope they take time and add a ton to the system and not just updated graphics.

I was looking over the numbers for the Persona series and the numbers reported here are not accurate. Persona 3, 3 Fes and 4 totaled 1.65 million world wide. NOT THE SERIES. What the series itself did is more. Persona 1-2 was not accounted for, P3P and Persona 1-2 remakes on PSP. The REAL number should be higher. Look at VGChartz for the numbers. P3/with fes sold about 800k, and P4 sold 800K roughly. That’s all they counted, so someone didnt fully read the PDF to see what all was doing or they were only talking P3-4 in the doc. Someone grab the real numbers so we can know what the series did?
