The Xbox 360 version of Minecraft will debut on Xbox LIVE Arcade in spring 2012, Mojang has announced.
“Minecraft for Xbox 360 is currently in heavy development and we are very happy with the progress,” wrote the studio’s Carl Manneh on the Mojang blog.
It will be playable for the first time ever at Minecon, which takes place in Las Vegas on November 18 and 19.
The console version of the popular indie PC title is Xbox 360-exclusive, Mojang founder Markus Persson has confirmed on Twitter. The PC version of Minecraft has sold nearly four million copies to date.
