Level-5 Vision 2011 trailers

Yokai Watch, Ni no Kuni, Time Travelers, and more.

October 15, 2011 / 06:35 PM EDT / (@salromano)

You’ve seen the (rather small) screenshots, now watch the trailers. Level-5′s went live with most of their Level-5 World trailers today, including those of Youkai Watch, Time Travelers, Fantasy Life, and more.

Watch the clips below.

Fantasy Life (3DS)

Girl’s RPG (3DS)

Guild 01 (3DS)

Guild 01 is a collaborative effort between four different creators, both inside and outside the games industry, each creating their own game for this four-game pack. The first video features a short bio and commentary from the developers. The second video shows off gameplay for all four games.

Inazuma Eleven Go (3DS)

Inazuma Eleven Strikers 2012 Xtreme (Wii)

Layton Brothers: Mystery Room (iOS)

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch (PS3)

Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney (3DS)

Time Travelers (3DS, PSV, PSP)

Youkai Watch (TBA)

Youkai Watch is Level-5′s new cross-media property. The company is planning a game (shown in the trailer from 1:14 to 1:21), anime, and manga. Level-5 has not said what platform the game is for yet, but given the visuals, we’re guessing PlayStation 3 or Wii U.

I’m betting the game is PS3, Wii U, or both.

hope to get the layton brothers in NA. i love mysteries.

time travelrs: is a battle against fate, eh? love those stories as well. but one comment though, at 00:21 i don’t think i’ve ever seen anyone run while holding a gun like that.

girl’s rpg: lol at the lupin cameo.

fantasy life looks like the game that will make me get a 3ds, although i hope it has internet support. otherwise, i won’t have anyone to play with.

ni no kuni looks as awesome as before. and it looks like there are mini-games, item crafting, and even dressing up your “pokemons”. i am lovin’ this game so much.

phoenix sure has a lot more screen time than layton. not that i’m complaining. :)

i didn’t think level 5 could get any better, but youkai watch just disproved me.

Whew, that’s a lot of trailers.

@whiteferrero: It’s funny, actually. If you watched the recent FFXIII-2 trailer, then this Ni no Kuni trailer, you’ll notice some similarities.

@Sal Romano: haha you’re right. minigames, and dressing up your “pokemons”, as well as story scenes.

Ni No Kuni, Time Travelers and Yokai Watch all on on my radar. I actually think I like Yokai more than Ni No Kuni (which I’ve been anticipating for some time now).

Yokai Watch reminded me so much of Karas. How no one could see the spirits floating around town besides a handful of people.

Ni no Ku ni and Time Travellers for me. Ni no ku ni is a given, been eyeing that game out ever since it was announced, but Time Travellers was a huge surprise, love the artstyle and the characters, and the music playing in the trailer was awesome as well!

Yokai Watch…I sense a pokemon like game. Seems funny but it did seem targeted specifically to a rather young audience, artstyle and all. Will have to see what comes out of it.

Updated the Ni no Kuni trailer with the L5-uploaded HD version. Prior, we had some upload recorded from the Ustream live stream. The only trailer in the post now that’s not from the official Level-5 YouTube channel is Time Travelers. Once they upload it, we’ll replace it.

Annnd finally, the HD L5-uploaded version of the Time Travelers clip has been added/replaced.
