Sydney-based developer in process of closure.

Team Bondi, the team behind L.A. Noire, is in the process of shut down. The Australian Securities and Investments Commission filed documents today finalizing the decision.

L.A. Noire, published by Rockstar, received critical acclaim upon release, but the developer was accused of mismanagement behind-the-scenes, poor working conditions, and not providing proper acknowledgement in L.A. Noire‘s end credits.

Thanks, Gamasutra.

Sad news indeed because L.A. Noire is one the best and its not like the rest. I enjoyed every bit of it. I loved the Rockstar Pass.

Great, one of the only major Aussie game studios gets shut down!

@Charlie: Brendan and co. were abusing their staff. I think they deserve this. I’m more hopeful the staff who are most likely very talented in their own right will find new jobs elsewhere in the games industry or other areas. Don’t really care what happens to Brendan.

Yeah, tis a shame it ended this way.
