Rumor: PlayStation Vita launches November 17 in Japan, before March 31 in the west
French source reveals release dates?PlayStation Vita will launch on November 12 in Japan and before March 31 in western territories, if French gaming outlet GamAlive is to be believed.
According to their “informants,” who apparently work within Sony, Asian territories will get the new handheld in November. The west will receive the platform before March 31, though the source mentions it’s currently expected to arrive in March anyway. The plan is to follow the release schedule of PlayStation 3 (Japan/US: November 11/17 2006 | Europe: March 23, 2007), except this time putting the United States in the same boat as Europe.
We’ll contact Sony, but don’t expect anything greater than ‘we don’t comment on rumors and speculation.’
