Dragon Quest X will offer plenty of content, according to the latest issue of Jump. Square Enix, its developer, hopes players can continue to play it for a long time. Outside story, you’ll find quests specific to race, and more. Inside story, you’ll find an online game with an “ending” and “last boss”–an uncommon trait for online titles.
While in towns, players can visit inns, churches, and other locations to perform various actions. Inns, which allow you to rest up and restore health, now have a conceirge who provides you details about the latest events. Visiting the church will allow you to save your game–though, an auto-save option is also available. A post office will allow you to send letters and items to friends (useful if your friend is at a different location/isn’t online). The game world overall is said to much bigger than Dragon Quest VIII‘s world.
Dragon Quest X begins in a small village, where the player character–a human turned into one of the five playable races after some sort of happening–lives with their brother/sister, who you’ll create as well as your own character.
