Square Enix to debut PSone Classic next week.

Chrono Trigger, Square Enix’s Dream Team-designed 1995 Super Nintendo RPG, is finally coming to PlayStation Network.

The game made its debut on the original PlayStation in 1999 as one of two games included in Square’s Final Fantasy Chronicles compilation, making it an acceptable PSone Classics release.

It will release on PlayStation Network this coming Tuesday, October 4. Chrono, Marle, Lucca, Frog, Robo, and Ayla await.

Thanks, PlayStation Blog.

      It should happen soon ;) Meanwhile, just play the DS version of the game, no loading times and extra dungeons ‘n stuff.

    Never got to experience this classic so I may check it out this time around on my new PSP :)

    errr. did they fix the load times?

    • FaithlessMr

      @whiteferrero:
      They never do in these PSN releases. At least it didn’t happen neither for FF V nor FF VI’s psn releases in europe, so I’m guessing the same will happen with this version of the game.

      I really don’t understand why they don’t take some time to fix the loading issues, it shouldn’t be something that hard to do.

        @FaithlessMr: that sux. the load time for ff vi was really awful.

          @whiteferrero:
          I think you kinda get used to it after a while, but yeah it’s bloody annoying to say the least.
