The Last Guardian, one of PlayStation 3‘s most anticipated games, has been delayed time and time again. Speaking to VG247 at Gamescom this week, Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida said the game has not progressed as fast as they’d hoped.
“The Last Guardian team has been making progress,” said Yoshida. “It’s been very difficult in terms of seeing the progress: not as fast as we’d been hoping for, and the team has been under big pressure. But we’re still making progress, so I’d like to continue to support and keep waiting for great news sometime in the future.”
The game is in development at Sony Computer Entertainment Japan’s Team Ico subsidiary, who are responsible for the PS2 classics Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, which will be re-released on Blu-ray late next month.
