The Gamescom trailer for SSX has gone live, highlighting the game’s three key elements of online gameplay.

“Explore” allows you to play with your friends without actually playing with your friends. Your friend can play a track and record their best run, and you can compete against a ghost of your friend which will run the exact same course. If you break your buddy’s record, you’ll earn money. If you fail, your friend will earn money. You will recieve notifications on Facebook and on your iPhone when your friend beats your record.

“Global Events” allows up to 100,000 players to compete in a single event. it could last from as little as a few minutes to as long as a few days.

“RiderNet” could be compared to Need for Speed‘s “Autolog.” It will let you keep track of your friends and suggest new ones to befriend. You’ll even be able to vote down annoying friends.
