Rumor: Monolith Soft creating 3DS RPG threequel
Confirmed in latest Nintendo Dream... apparently.

The latest issue of Japanese magazine Nintendo Dream has an interview with Xenoblade developer Monolith Soft, who confirm they’re currently at work on a new role-playing game for 3DS.

That’s all according to one NeoGAF poster — meaning that we can’t exactly verify anything quite yet.

Apparently, it’s the third entry in a series, causing forum posters to speculate the studio is crafting Baiten Katios 3 for the handheld.

In late June, the developer confirmed a project for Wii U. Prior, the above artwork appeared on the studio’s website.

    As much as I like the studio… I’m not buying a 3DS.

I’m glad I’m buying a 3DS sometime this year or the next :) Wonder if they can pull anything as big as Xenoblade on the system….

It would be nice to get excited about something outside of the typical Nintendo titles that are on the way.

Well, I have a 3DS thanks to Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance… So, I shall keep my eyes out for other JRPGs.

I want to play Xenoblade soo bad… I remember when you posted that artwork because I have it as wallpaper.

@FinalFantasy_fangirl: I know. I’ve been reading all the reviews the Euro / Aussie version has been getting and some are calling it the best JRPG in years. I’m so tempted to import, but I’d much rather have an official localization.

If worst comes to worst, my Wii is hacked and I’m sure there’s some app that will let me bypass the region lock and play Xenoblade Chronicles.
