Electronic Arts has detailed their plans for this year’s Gamescom, which starts this week in Cologne. The company’s coming to Germany with a fistful of knockouts, including the likes of Battlefield 3, Mass Effect 3, and Star Wars: The Old Republic.
Their playable lineup includes:
- Battlefield 3 (PS3, 360, PC) – a dedicated 64-person multiplayer area with the most authentic modern shooter experience of the year.
- FIFA 12 (PS3, 360, Wii, PC, PS2, etc.) – huge space that puts players on the pitch to experience the gameplay action.
- Mass Effect 3 (PS3, 360, PC) – a high octane alien invasion adventure explodes in an all-out galactic war. The time has come to join the war effort and experience the industry’s most critically acclaimed RPG first-hand.
- Need for Speed: The Run (PS3, 360, PC) – get behind the wheel in a race for your life from the Golden Gate to the Empire State.
- The Secret World (PC) – Funcom producers will be showing an exciting live demo in one of many dungeons, highlighting combat, progression and boss fights.
- The Sims 3: Pets (PS3, 360, PC, 3DS) – hands-on play on all platforms.
- The Sims Social (Facebook) – The Sims on Facebook coming soon!
- Star Wars: The Old Republic (PC) – 36 hands-on stations with Origin Worlds and 16 hands-on stations for PvP.
Their booth will have 350 hands-on gaming stations.
Behind closed doors, EA will have: Battlefield 3, Burnout Crash, Dragon Age 2: Legends, FIFA 12, FIFA Manager, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, Mass Effect 3, Need For Speed: The Run, Need For Speed: World, SSX, Star Wars: The Old Republic, The Secret World, and The Sims 3: Pets.
Additionally, Electronic Arts will host a press conference at the Palladium on Tuesday, August 16 at 4pm local time / 9am EDT / 6am PDT. Those at home can watch it live at EA’s Gamescom website.
