Dontnod Entertainment has released the debut teaser trailer for its first studio game: Adrift.
Set in Neo-Paris 2084, the game is a third-person action–adventure title for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Contrary to prior belief, it is not a PlayStation 3-exclusive.
It’s set in a world where “augmented reality and memory manipulation” have taken control over peoples’ lives; a world where you can “digitize, buy, sell or trade your own personal memories.” Adrift‘s world runs on a memory-based economy, which gives an “immense yet uncontrollable power to a handful of people.” The commonwealth is watched over by a “surveillance society,” accepted by citizens, as it comes with technological benefits.
