Capcom has ‘no plans’ to bring back Mega Man Legends 3
*Pow* to the face

Following Mega Man Legend 3‘s cancellation, fans rallied support to bring it back. The most popular of the revival campaigns is the Get Me Off the Moon Facebook group, which we reported on last month. As of press time, the group has nearly 37,000 followers. Capcom is aware of this fan support, but still is “without plans” to bring the 3DS game back into development.

“We are aware of the fan created Facebook page requesting that we resume development of Mega Man Legends 3,” said Capcom rep Brian Keltner to Kotaku today. “While Capcom has a built a strong relationship with its community and values their feedback, Mega Man Legends 3 development has officially ceased without plans to resume development.”

Last week, Mega Man Legends 3 programming director Yoshiyuki Fujikawa said that he’s interested in seeing how the fan petitions turn out.

    Crapcom have really exposed themselves as a truely god awful company over the last few weeks, it was a nail on the head when they blamed the fans for the game being cancelled.

    I wish them the worst for the future :) I won’t be bothering with their dull games anymore. Not that i’ll be missing much, rehashed dlc fighting games got boring a long time ago.

    yea but the shame is ppl are still gonna buy the games from capcom they don’t care about you so why should you care about them. and from what i have seen on this site alot ppl are still gonna support them even after they ranted saying how much they hate capcom.

      @go-go-boy:

      The only game I’ll be buying from capcom is RE:Revelations next year, and that’s if it lives up to MY standards.

        @BizarreJelly: I wish they would get back on what made them awesome. I am still getting Operation Raccoon City since my friends want to play it online but that’s pretty much it. I@TheronGuard00: I plan on getting that and the two HD releases of Code Veronica and RE4. I also have to get Operation Raccoon City since my group of friends want to play it together. Other than that nothing from that Capcom is developing looks interesting to me, and yes that includes Dragon’s Dogma.

          @Rezar: Totally Rezar, I used to have Capcom on a pedestal because they could do no wrong in my eyes. Back in the days of classic Resi, Megaman, Breath of Fire, Onimusha, Power Stone etc etc. They used to come out with fantastic game series’ that all had their own sparkle. But now, they’re so charmless that it’s an insult to the way they used to be. Constant shameless rehashing of street fighter, not localizing certain games(Ace Attourney 2), burying old franchises. The whole Legends drama really killed them for me. It’s sad, but whatever. Their old titles are still awesome and timeless.

          /rant :) there’s all I have to say on this issue lol

    I think Capcom is worse than Activision. They hurt a lot of people canceling this game. They had the one game save for RE: Mercernaries 3D and they are releasing too many version of SFIV and now an Ultimate version of MvsC3. They are on a role of upsetting gamers.

    Besides all that, I still don’t mind Capcom. When they use their own in-house development studios, they make some impressive stuff. I am excited for Asura’s Wrath and Dragon’s Dogma.
