The first English screenshots of Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten have come out of NIS America. A small set, we see characters in battle and Valvatorez in dialog.

NIS America also detailed changes to the Map Editing system in the North American and European releases of Disgaea 4, citing that while they want to keep them as close to the Japanese version as possible, “certain rules and regulations” called for “minor adjustments.” The changes to the system are as follows:

• Instead of individual blocks to create maps, a number of preset “landforms” will be available for users to create their own maps.
• Multiples of the same object, not including geo blocks or characters, cannot be placed next to or on top of each other.
• Character/map names and descriptions will be randomized.

Disgaea 4 launches for PlayStation 3 in North America and Europe on September 6 and in October, respectively.
