The Witcher 2 to arrive on Xbox 360 by year’s end

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings will be released on Xbox 360 later this year, developer CD Projekt RED announced in a live webcast.

With the additional development time being dedicated to optimization and adaptation, the Polish studio claims that the port will be a “mature and complex game on consoles”, have “no quality compromise” and is supposedly “looking awesome”.

They also broadcasted an announcement trailer for the Xbox 360 version of the game, which included footage of the port in action.

    While I am happy for the Xbox 360 owners, I am really disappointed this isn’t coming out for the PS3. Oh well, there are alot of great games coming out at this year’s end to help me forget.

    Seriously, who decided at the beginning of the generation that PS3 gamers don’t want RPGs?

    Glad this is finally confirmed for consoles.

    I’m scheduled to see the game next week. I’ll be sure to ask about a PS3 version, as the two before me expressed interest in. ;-)

    oh well there loss if they don’t want to bring it to ps3 they will come crawling to us sooner or later saying stuff life ps3 is the a great system and how we favor the ps3 then try to give us a superior version of the game but like i said there loss i will be busy with dark souls and elder scrolls skyrim to even care : )

    I need to play the first game on PC. I can’t stand picking up a series on a sequel. That is a great trailer though. No PS3 version is kinda puzzling…

      It’s on gog.com for fairly cheap. I own and I’m currently playing the game on steam. It’s fun.

    PS3 version? Well I’ll be honest I didn’t really like the first one so it’s no big deal, but PS3 needs some WRPG love as well as jrpg love.

    One Im surprised they are jumping straight to the sequel, 2 the trailer seems to focus on nothing but action Triss isnt even in it and 3 maybe only one console was chosed because of money, I remember Rise Of the White Wolf never made it because of money issues.
